Face to face lessons are only available in Montpellier and Aumelas; if you're abroad, you can book a Skype lesson.
Check out the website in french if you're in the south of France and want to see the descriptive of a group session (duo, trio or more). Don't hesitate to write me if you have any questions !
Each lesson is divided in two parts: warm ups and exercises, and application to a song. You decide if you want to take more time for the exercises or for the songs (we can of course focus only on one of the two parts). The management of the time also depends on your goals.
The class is adapted to how you learn. Some students are looking for efficiency, some others will need more patience and a "step by step" plan! Some want to understand precisely how the voice works and its physiology, some want to stay in a simpler (but efficient!) or with a more fun approach.
Of course we will work on posture, breathing, and relaxation, because your singing comes from all your body.
Each exercise is designed for you, and is adapted to your voice. Depending on your voice, some exercises will be easier and way more efficient than others. They will lead you to a faster success, while other ones might strenghten your "bad habits", and you will progress more slowly. Thus, it is necessary to pick the right ones for you.
The second part of the class will be dedicated to working on songs of your choice. Don't be afraid to pick songs you consider too complicated for you: they all are adaptable, and you might be surprised to see that you're able to sing songs you thought were "wayyyy to hard"!
You decide how to manage the session.
You can chose to allow a private time to each of you, with personalised exercices at the beginning of the class, and then sing together. You can also decide to spend the whole lesson on song work, therefore spending more time on pure singing than on pure technique.
Duo or trio class allows you to share a special moment with your singing partner(s). Plus, if you are shy or nervous, you are encouraging each other and earning trust in yourself thanks to the cohesion of your group.
We always start the class by a collective warm up, even if you chose to spend the whole class singing, without technique exercices.
-> If you don't think you not singing totally on pitch, maybe you'd rather have a few private lessons before just to put you on the right track, so you can really enjoy a group lesson (oftentimes, singing on pitch only requires a few adjesutements and it's rarely "as bad as you think" ;) ).
Only available for private lessons.
I've been working via Skype with a lot of my students from all around the world and it's the perfect solution if you don't live around Montpellier or Aumelas.
You'll only need a webcam (or a smartphone), earphones and an internet connection.
When you make an inquiry for a Skype lesson, don't forget to precise in what time zone you live, so we can figure out the best time for your appointment, as when it's the morning for my Canadian students, for example, it's already the evening here in France !
